Why Müşterim works offline and without an account

The most common complaints about mobile customer apps, and why we built Müşterim to work on the phone first with an optional account.

Before designing Müşterim, we classified 2,485 negative store reviews, written between 2024 and 2026, of 42 mobile CRM, business card and trade fair apps. The most common complaint was not a missing feature:

  • 24.3% of the reviews complained that the app was slow, crashed or kept loading forever.
  • 9.9% were about signing in: forced accounts, sessions that end by themselves, not being able to log in at all.
  • 4.6% were about sync failures and data loss, 3.5% about export and moving to a new phone.

Few reviews used the word “offline” (1.2%), but the people who did were exactly our users: people working in the field and at fairs. Loading screens, login walls and false “no connection” errors share one root: a screen that waits for the network.

The phone comes first

In Müşterim, the main copy of your records lives on your phone. When you open a customer, call them or capture someone at a fair, the screen does not wait for a server; everything comes from the database on the device. New records get their identifier on the phone too, so records you create without a connection sync later without clashing.

When a connection is back, sync runs in the background. If the same record changed on two devices, the server’s version wins and your phone shows you that the record changed elsewhere. A change is never lost silently.

The account is optional

Install Müşterim and start right away; no e-mail, password or account is asked for. Your records stay only on your phone, and nothing reaches us.

When you do want to sign in, there is no password: you use a passkey, Google or Apple. Signing in turns on:

  • sync and backup,
  • the watch app and multiple devices,
  • getting everything back in full when you move to a new phone.

Your data is yours

  • You can export all your customers and contacts as CSV and vCard, free and without limits. Nothing you saved is ever locked behind a paid plan.
  • Business card photos and voice notes are processed on your phone and never sent to the server.
  • If you sign in, a copy of your records is kept on our server in the European Union (Finland). The details are in the privacy policy.

The cost

Building an app that works on the phone first is hard: sync, conflicts and restore take serious engineering. But for someone trying to save a customer on a phone with no signal in a fair hall, there is no other option.
